Atlanta Hawks point guard Jeff Teague left the floor against the Chicago Bulls after appearing to land on his hand early in the second quarter. He jumped to contest a shot, took a hard bump and landed on his back with his arm pinned behind his body, immediately holding his hand-and-wrist area as he trotted to see a trainer on the sideline. He left the floor and headed for the locker room without any hesitation.
Jeff Teague Injury: Atlanta Point Guard To Locker Room After Hard Landing
Team doctors expect him to return despite what they’re calling a sprained wrist, pending the results of an X-ray.
If Teague, the hands-down team MVP in this series, can't return, Atlanta is in deep trouble. "Starting" point guard Kirk Hinrich is already hurt, meaning either Jamal Crawford or Joe Johnson will need to bring the ball up on every possession. Either can handle it, but neither is exactly known as a creator or distributor, to say the least.
