Derrick Rose has Chicago off to a fast start building a 25-19 lead over the Atlanta Hawks after one quarter of play. Rose hit on 4-9 shots but had three turnovers and looked hesitant to take jump shots as the Atlanta defense sagged way off him daring him to shoot. Rose did hit a three-point shot during the closing moments of the first quarter. Joakim Noah also tossed in six points for Chicago.
Hawks Vs. Bulls Score: Derrick Rose Leads Chicago To Early 25-19 Lead After One
Atlanta hit just 31% of their shots during the first quarter. Joe Johnson leads the way with five points while Jeff Teague tossed in four. By virtue of Atlanta missing so many shots in the first, Chicago has an early 17-13 rebounding advantage. Shot selection has been an issue early for Atlanta as they will need to continue to move the basketball if they want to be successful against a stingy Chicago defense.
