Phil Jackson, Kobe Bryant, And The Lakers Are Goin’ Fishing

Kobe Bryant, Phil Jackson and the L.A. Lakers went out with a whimper against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, and it’s the first time since 2007 that L.A.‘s gone out before the NBA Finals. You know what that means?

For the first time in four years, TNT and Inside the NBA got to send the Lakers fishing.

Because some jokes just never gets old, it’d been too long for the Lakers. As Ernie Johnson explained the photo above, “Kenny’s like, ‘Hey Phil, where’s the peyote?’

A group photo’s after the jump.

As Charles Barkley said, “Is that the guy from the Red Hot Chili Peppers?”

Yes, the Lakers team photo includes Flea, Leonardo Dicaprio, Khloe Kardashian, David Beckham, Jack Nicholson, and Andrew Bynum way out in the back, on a boat called “W.U.S.S.”

About halfway through the commentary on this photo, Chris Webber broke into some impromptu Red Hot Chili Peppers karaoke--“I don’t ever want to feeeeeel”--yet another example of why Inside the NBA is the best sports show on television. Hey, Kobe... What do you think of all this?

Awwww.... SAD MAMBA.
