Javaris Crittenton Charged With Murder, Released On $230,000 Bond
Crittenton is accused of accidentally killing Jones, a mother of four, during a drive-by shooting on August. The intended target of the shooting, police allege, was a male teenager walking with Jones whom Crittenton believed had robbed him of jewelry worth $55,000.
The prosecution wasn’t pleased that Crittenton was granted bond. From the AJC:

The details have come out from that incident, courtesy of Forbes, in which Crittenton told police he and a friend were held up at gunpoint by two teenagers:
A loss of $55,000 doesn’t seem like a huge deal to a former first-round pick, one who made more than $4 million in his three years in the league, but considering there’s no way he’s ever getting another NBA contract, that’s a substantial burglary of assets right there.

FBI Issues ‘WANTED’ Poster Of Javaris Crittenton For Alleged Murder
The FBI has already gotten involved in the Javaris Crittenton murder allegations after the former NBA guard was charged in a fatal drive-by shooting of Jillian Jones, a mother of four. It’s not a surprise that the poster would suggest an alleged murder is “armed and dangerous,” but it’s still jarring to see, especially for those who remember him as a player.

More details are emerging on the alleged Javaris Crittenton drive-by shooting that broke on Friday. After a warrant was issued for Crittenton’s arrest for the murder of Jullian Jones, Atlanta Police Department spokesmen spoke with the media. They revealed that he faces homicide charges, but is not currently in custody. The police believe Crittenton is in Los Angeles, reports the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
The FBI has also been brought in on this investigation, the police said. They and the APD are investigating a shooting that supposedly took place around 10:00 p.m. ET on Aug. 19. Jones was, according to witnesses, walking with two men, one of whom the police believe was the intended target. Jones was struck in the hip and died at the hospital while being operated on. She leaves behind four children.
