Mavericks Vs. Lakers Final Score: Derek Fisher Lifts Los Angeles To 73-70 Victory

The Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks were playing one of the NBA's lowest-scoring games, and Jason Terry had just hit an improbable jumper to tie the game in the waning moments of the fourth quarter. And then Lakers stalwart Derek Fisher decided to end it in regulation.

Fisher sank a game-winning three-pointer with 3.1 seconds left in the fourth quarter to give the Lakers a 73-70 win over the Mavericks at the Staples Center.

Fisher had 13 points in the game. Kobe Bryant scored just 14 points, snapping a string of four straight 40-point outings. Andrew Bynum had 17 points to lead the Lakers, and also pulled down 15 rebounds.

Dirk Nowitzki had 21 points to lead all scorers, but got very little help from his Dallas teammates. Lamar Odom was the only other Dallas player in double figures, scoring 10 points off the bench.

The Lakers had to rally in the fourth quarter after a disastrous third period in which they scored just seven points. That tied a franchise record for fewest points in a quarter since the introduction of the shot clock.
