With strong play on both sides of the ball, the Oklahoma City Thunder raced out to a 60-49 half-time lead against the Miami Heat.
Heat Vs. Thunder Scoring Update: Oklahoma City Up 60-49 At The Half
In one of their strongest defensive performances of the season, the Thunder used their length and athleticism to bother Miami’s normally free-flowing offense, forcing 11 turnovers in the first half.
On the other side of the ball, Kevin Durant was rarely bothered by the defense of LeBron James, scoring 18 points on 8-10 shooting while getting six assists and two rebounds.
In front of a rowdy Oklahoma City home crowd, the Thunder raced up and down the court, something that rarely happens to Miami.
The highlight of the half was a 10-2 Oklahoma City run capped off by a full length cross-court chest pass from James Harden to a streaking Durant.
Harden was the difference maker off the bench in the first half, getting 14 points and three assists on 4-5 shooting.
