Brandon Roy has hit another setback in his attempt to make a comeback in the NBA. The Minnesota Timberwolves guard told The Associated Press' Jon Krawczynski that he's hit another roadblock with his ailing right knee that required surgery in November.

Minnesota T-Wolves guard Brandon Roy has hit another roadblock in his attempt to successfully return to the NBA.

Though Roy remains hopeful to play again this season, the fact that he was mulling over retirement just months ago only adds to the expectation that the guard who became an All-Star with the Portland Trail Blazers will indeed miss the rest of what was supposed to be his comeback season.
Roy played in five games after signing with the Timberwolves this year. He averaged 5.8 points and 4.6 assists per game
Roy spent his first five NBA seasons with Portland but spent the 2011-12 season away from the game after chronic knee troubles hampered him and led the Trail Blazers to using their amnesty clause on the three-time All-Star. He decided to return with Minnesota prior to this season and signed a two-year deal before lasting just the first five games of the year.
