After trailing by as many as 19 points in the first half, the Wizards trimmed the lead down to three points, 60-57, midway through the third quarter, but wouldn’t get any closer from there. The Spurs subsequently went on a 29-7 run, quickly turning the game back into a lopsided beatdown.

Barnes and Ibaka were both ejected in what sure seemed like a questionable decision by the officiating crew. On his way out, Barnes grabbed his son and took him with him to the locker room.
Worth noting: Ibaka was 6-for-6 in the game for 13 points. Barnes was 0-for-5.

By committing just three turnovers, New York managed to put up 88 shots, making up for the many frustrating aspects of the team’s performance.
Both teams mostly struggled from beyond the arc throughout the game. During the first three quarters, the Knicks were just 7-of-23 as their perimeter-oriented attack rained down attempts, but the team found some rhythm by hitting 5-of-11 attempts in a 30-point fourth quarter. The Hawks, meanwhile, posted a dismal 5-of-24 mark from three-point range.
