NBA schedule: Thunder go into Denver, defeat the Nuggets

Oklahoma City’s point guard went for 21 points, 13 boards and eight assists (and eight turnovers) as his team dominated the Nuggets in the rarefied air. The Thunder shot nearly 49 percent from the floor despite hitting just five of the team’s 22 three-point attempts, and outrebounded Denver, 53-43.

The Thunder continue to roll, winning 15 of its last 16 games. The Thunder are back in full force, and it will only get better from here.

Los Angeles struggled on the boards with only four offensive rebounds and lost the total rebounding margin 49-37. They made up for it by shooting 49 percent from the field and taking care of the basketball with only 14 turnovers to the Grizzlies’ 15.

The Lakers found some consistency on the defensive end and held Memphis to 40 percent from the field and 31 percent from the three-point line and totaled 10 blocked shots.

He’s been taking good shots, too, which hasn’t been commonplace for Gay over much of his career. It’s a shame to see this early setback given his hot start after a change of scenery. We’ll keep you updated as his future status becomes more clear.

Damian Lillard hit a game-winning three pointer over Cleveland’s Alonso Gee with 0.4 seconds left to lift the Trail Blazers over the Cavaliers 119-116 Tuesday night.

Cleveland tied the game at 116-116 with seven seconds left after Kyrie Irving drove past Nic Batum and dumped off to Anderson Varejao for a dunk. Portland took a timeout and let Lillard go one-on-one to seal the game.

Iguodala has missed the last 12 games and the Warriors have gone just 5-7 in that span. At 13-12, Golden State is just one loss away from .500 and would miss the playoffs if the season ended today.

Iguodala, a former All-Star, is a key cog that makes this high-powered offense run. He plays as a secondary ball-handler and accounts for a majority of the team’s playmaking duties. He also is responsible for guarding the best wing player on opposing teams, as he is known as a stout, versatile defender.
