Los Angeles couldn’t stop the Blazers from behind the arc to start the fourth, but the Clippers battled back. The teams went back-and-forth with under two minutes to go, and the Clippers took the lead with 40.2 seconds left.

Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIREBoth teams played tight though the first half, with Cleveland’s Dion Waiters contributing 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting despite battling tendonitis in his wrist. It took all of Kyrie Irving’s 40 points and nine assists to keep the Caveliers in the game.
The Cavs shot better from the floor, gathered more rebounds and shot more free throws, but Atlanta passed the ball well, ending the game +11 in assists.

Daniel Shirey-USA TODAY SportsAl Horford left the Atlanta Hawks’ game against the Cleveland Cavaliers with a right shoulder injury suffered during overtime and will not return, the team announced. He went back to the locker room after the team took a timeout.
Horford finished the night with 25 points on 11-of-17 shooting and eight rebounds in 36 minutes. Horford has played in all 29 of the Hawks’ games through the season, leading the team with 18.3 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. DeMarre Carroll also left the game early, spraining his thumb during the fourth quarter while fighting through a screen from Tyler Zeller.
