In a play reminiscent of, well, Vince Carter, the Mavs forward decided to go back on his initial instinct to fake an injury. After slipping momentarily, Carter started to hold his ankle in the corner of the court. Harrison Barnes, clearly thinking he was hurt, left him alone.

With the chance to dunk, Vince Carter’s ankle was magically healed just in time.
But suddenly, Carter's ankle was healed! Yea verily, the angels above came down and sprinkled fairy dust onto Half-Man Half-Amazing's half-healthy half fake-injured joint and he was no longer hurt, but ready to take the baseline pass for a massive dunk to beat the buzzer before halftime.
