Michael Carter-Williams showed his ability to get into the lane against the California Golden Bears, but also struggled from the line and with turnovers.

The sophomore point guard showed off his immense talent, but he struggled in certain aspects. He was able to get to the lane and shot 4-8 from the field, but was just 4-9 from the free-throw line. Carter-Williams also turned the ball over five times while only dishing out two assists.
Carter-Williams is one of the more unique prospects expected to declare for the NBA Draft, as he is a 6’6 point guard. The sophomore is one of the best distributors in college basketball, as he has excellent floor vision and passing skills. He is also a great slasher and finishes well at the rim.
The point guard’s biggest weakness, however, is his inability to consistently shoot. He simply cannot hit outside jump shots with regularity, which could really hurt a team’s spacing if they don’t surround him with the proper players.
Carter-Williams’ draft stock is one of the more fluid amongst the different NBA mock drafts. He needs to be selected by a team that can spread the floor, giving him space to drive the lane and find open shooters. Some mock drafts have him slotted in the top ten, while others have him outside the lottery.
