Bobcats vs. Heat final score: Miami cruises to 26th straight victory, 109-77

LeBron James nearly notched a triple-double as the Heat extended their winning streak to 26 with a blowout win over the Bobcats.

LeBron James fell just two rebounds shy of a triple-double as the Miami Heat extended their winning streak to 26 by destroying the Charlotte Bobcats, 109-77. James finished his night with 32 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds, taking a seat with just under eight minutes to play.

Playing without Dwyane Wade due to a sore knee, the Heat actually came out of the gates slow, falling behind by 11 midway through the first quarter. But as they have so often during the streak, Miami turned it on, quickly overtaking Charlotte by the time the opening frame ended. The Heat did not trail the rest of the way, blowing the game wide open with a run at the end of the third quarter and beginning of the fourth.

While James took care of most of the scoring with Wade sidelined, Miami also got stellar contributions from the bench. Norris Cole and Ray Allen combined for 29 points and seven three-pointers, and the Heat as a team made 13 three-pointers. Chris Bosh added 15 points and six rebounds.

Kemba Walker had 20 points and Gerald Henderson had 18 for the Bobcats, but it was not nearly enough to overcome the Heat onslaught.
