Allen Iverson and his bobblehead are in Philly

Ethan MillerIt’s Allen Iverson night in Philadelphia, with both the man and his miniature, slack-necked facsimile in the building for the Sixers’ meeting with the Bobcats. Both Iverson and his bobblehead seem interested in playing basketball at some point in the future. Iverson, in an emotional interview with CSN Philadelphia, reasserted his willingness to return to the league if the opportunity arose. Given that the only recent interest Iverson’s received has been from the D-League, that’s probably not in the cards, but that only leaves Iverson more time to spend with his kids.
Meanwhile, mini-Iverson actually got himself onto the court in Philly this evening. Though the bobblehead might be more viable as a productive Sixer than, say, Royal Ivey, he was excluded on account of having very small hands and refusing to let go of his tiny, non-regulation basketball.

USA TODAY SportsClippers and Rockets look to bounce back

USA TODAY SPORTSThis will be the third matchup between the Clippers and Rockets this year, with Los Angeles winning both previous contests. In fact, the Clippers have won five straight meetings in the series, and they have done it with fantastic offense. During that five-game stretch, Los Angeles has scored 108.0 points per game and has shot 40.4 percent from three. The Clippers made 13 threes in the last meeting, and back on Jan. 15 in Houston, they went 11 of 19 from deep without Paul in the lineup.
It is worth noting that Harden missed the last outing between the two teams with a sprained right knee and sore left ankle. The All-Star guard has struggled against the Clippers throughout his career, but look for him to bounce back strong after his weak performance against the Grizzlies.
