Carmelo Anthony set the Knicks and Madison Square Garden single-game scoring record when he scored his 62nd point against the Bobcats in the fourth quarter Friday. For the Rockets, Chandler Parsons set an NBA record 10 three-pointers in a half.
Parsons hits NBA-record 10 threes in half

Troy Taormina-USA TODAY SportsThe hot shooting came out of nowhere, but Parsons hit all six of his long range attempts in the third quarter and 4-of-5 in the fourth quarter. His last make came with 1:51 left to play and brought the Rockets within one point, 88-87. That was, however, the final score as his last attempt -- a 30-footer with just over a minute left -- fell short.
Neither team scored for the remainder of the game and Memphis snuck out with a victory, but it was Parsons who stole the show with his incredible hot streak in the second half. His shot chart is a thing of beauty:

Kevin C. CoxUPDATE (10:30 p.m. ET): The Hawks start a two-game road trip on Saturday in Milwaukee, but Teague won’t be traveling with the team for the game against the Bucks, according to Hawks.com’s Robby Kalland.
The injury occurred in the second quarter when Teague bit on a fake and fell awkwardly to the floor. He attempted to get back up, but fell down to the ground in pain. He then limped his way to the sideline before heading back to the locker room.

Anthony scored in a variety of ways: in the post, where his size was too much to handle, as the pick-and-roll ball handler, in spot up situations and in isolation. Most impressive, though, was the sheer efficiency with which he scored.

Then it comes as a good thing that they’re stepping up on both ends of the floor. The defense has been active in holding the Bobcats to 46 points with seven turnovers, but the offense has been buttery. Carmelo Anthony leads all scorers with a stunning 37-point first-half performance, including this shot from near halfcourt at the buzzer to end the half.
