The Knicks have lost five straight games. A sixth would hurt just in adding another notch to that slide, but losing to a Bobcats team without Kemba Walker, their lead scorer, and their best wing reserve, Jeff Taylor, would add insult to injury.
Knicks finding their groove vs Bobcats with Melo’s 37 points and a Jeremy Tyler alley-oop
Five-game losing streak? What five-game losing streak?

Then it comes as a good thing that they’re stepping up on both ends of the floor. The defense has been active in holding the Bobcats to 46 points with seven turnovers, but the offense has been buttery. Carmelo Anthony leads all scorers with a stunning 37-point first-half performance, including this shot from near halfcourt at the buzzer to end the half.
But it hasn’t just been him. The rest of the Knicks contributed on the scoreboard in bits and pieces en route to a 67-point half. Jeremy Tyler had some explosive plays with a putback dunk and this alley-oop from J.R. Smith.
Sometimes a game against the Bobcats is good for all that ails you.
