There are only six games on the NBA schedule Tuesday night, but two of them are exciting Western Conference tilts. Let’s take a look at the NBA menu for this Veterans Day.
NBA schedule 2014: Warriors host Spurs, Kings face Mavericks Tuesday night
After a thrilling win over the Clippers, the Spurs head to Golden State to face the Warriors. The Kings have lost their last 20 games in Dallas and will try to end that streak.

The appetizer
This isn't one of those exciting Western Conference matchups, although there's still some intrigue here. The Lakers are coming off their first win of the season, a 107-92 romp of Charlotte. Jeremy Lin enjoyed his best game of the year, scoring 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting while handing out seven assists. Lin will have his hands full with Mike Conley, one of the more underrated point guards in the league. However, Conley struggled in the Grizzlies' last game, a shocking 93-92 defeat at the hands of the Milwaukee to close out a three-game road trip. The loss was the first of the season for Memphis, who currently sits tied atop the West with a 6-1 record.

The main course
The Kings haven’t beaten the Mavs in Dallas since 2003, a stretch that spans 20 games. With Sacramento off to a surprisingly strong start, could that streak finally come to an end? The Kings are 5-2 and have beaten several quality teams already, although the last game was a disappointing loss in Oklahoma City. DeMarcus Cousins has been a monster, averaging 23.0 points and 11.1 rebounds. Cousins’ strong play is one of the reasons Sacramento ranks first in rebounding percentage, per NBA.com. Dallas is currently the most efficient offensive team in the NBA, but the defense has left quite a bit to be desired, which was evident in a 105-96 loss to Miami.

The dessert
The Spurs are playing in the second of a back-to-back against West heavyweights after a come-from-behind victory over the Clippers on Monday night. Kawhi Leonard had his best game of the young season, scoring 26 points and grabbing 10 boards. But with San Antonio on the second of a tough back-to-back, will Gregg Popovich rest his stars like he did last week in Houston? The Warriors might be without Klay Thompson, who missed a 107-95 loss to the Suns due to a sprained right hand. The defeat was Golden State's first of the year after a dominant 5-0 start. Thompson and Stephen Curry are the biggest reasons for the great start, with the duo combining to score over 50 points per game. David Lee (hamstring), Tiago Splitter (calf) and Marco Belinelli (groin) are all expected to miss the game.
