Anthony Davis will play in his first All-Star game after being selected as a fill-in player for injured Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant. Davis has had a phenomenal season in his second year in the NBA and will have the honor of playing in his first All-Star game in New Orleans.
Other first-time All-Stars include John Wall, Stephen Curry, Damian Lillard and DeMar DeRozan. Of course, long-time All-Stars will also play, such as Dirk Nowitzki. This will be All-Star game no. 12 for Nowitzki, who was not selected for the game last season for the first time in over a decade.
