Oklahoma City guard Russell Westbrook left in the third quarter Friday against the Toronto Raptors after suffering a sprained right knee in a collision with Raptors guard Kyle Lowry, the team announced. After the game, Westbrook left the arena without crutches or a brace and said he doesn't expect to miss any time, according to the Oklahoman's Darnell Mayberry.

Oklahoma City’s star guard had suffered three knee injuries since last April before this one on Friday night.
Westbrook picked up his dribble behind a Serge Ibaka screen and hesitated. Lowry, reacting to a possible shot, jumped out to close out on Westbrook. Lowry's right knee smashed into Westbrook's knee and Westbrook's buckled under itself. Westbrook was then helped off the floor by teammates.
The Thunder star has suffered three knee injuries since last April. Friday night was just his 37th appearance this season. He averages 21.4 points, 7.2 assists and 5.8 rebounds on 43 percent shooting, his worst shooting performance since the 2009-10 season.
Oklahoma City was 6-5 since Westbrook’s return from a midseason knee injury before this latest incident. The Thunder defeated the Raptors in overtime, 119-118, placing them just one game behind the Spurs for the No. 1 spot in the Western Conference playoff standings (pending San Antonio’s game on Friday night).
