The NBA is moving forward with its plan to remove Donald Sterling from the NBA, now the person who perhaps knows him best is speaking out. Shelly Sterling, the wife of the Clippers' owner is talking about her husband's actions, indicating it's her belief the 81-year-old is suffering from dementia.

Shelly Sterling spoke with Savannah Guthrie on Today to discuss the now-infamous followup interview with Anderson Cooper of CNN.
“He’s not the man I know, or I knew,” she said. “There’s something wrong. I really think, personally, he has dementia.”
She continued saying Donald had been acting erratically over a period of time, questioning whether his state of mind was contributing to his public outbursts.
“I don’t think it happened overnight. I think it’s been happening, but nobody really knew the reason. I mean, he gets crazy, and yells, and screams, and hollers one moment. The next moment he’ll ... talk about something else. I mean it’s like nothing makes sense.”
Initially intended to be an apology, Donald Sterling found himself in hot water once again after his interview with Cooper in which he slammed Magic Johnson for a perceived lack of helping minority communities and indicating that the former NBA star shouldn't be a role model because he has HIV.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver issued a public apology to Johnson for Sterling’s most-recent comments, saying the league’s board of governors would move as quickly as possible to remove him from his role as owner. That battle could be more protracted than expected, with both Donald and Shelly Sterling planning individual legal action. It’s Shelly’s belief that she has become dragged into her husband’s actions and shouldn’t have her share of the team liquidated.
