SURPRISE SURPRISE: The Heat and Spurs both advanced to the NBA’s Final Four on Wednesday. Tony Parker sat much of Game 5, and it didn’t matter as San Antonio romped. Portland’s red socks couldn’t save them!

Miami needed a strong fourth to finish off Brooklyn, whose Joe Johnson was a beast all series.

Since both of those series are done, that means there is no basketball on Friday. None. I’m already getting the shakes just thinking about it.

TONIGHT: The other two series could also end on Thursday. Potentially. Or we could have one or two Game 7s on Saturday ...

KERR-FUFFLE: Steve Kerr chose the Warriors over the Knicks. More specifically, Kerr chose $25 million over five years with Golden State vs. four years with New York. Also, he chose Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Bogut and Andre Iguodala over maybe Carmelo Anthony, Raymond Felton, Amare Stoudemire and Andrea Bargnani.

Next up for the Knicks? I actually saw the name Mark Madsen mentioned, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a joke. So ...
