Michigan State Vs. Chaminade: Spartans Trail In First Half
Chaminade’s Steven Bennett is owning this game for the Silverswords. On top of that, Chaminade is just playing harder than Michigan State. The Spartans are hoisting outside shots, while the Silverswords are going to the rack and beating Michigan State from the inside. Yeah, I know, it doesn’t seem possible, but they are.
Chaminade is playing smarter and harder thus far. They want this game badly.
Bennett (13 points, 3 assists) and center Mamadou Diarra (6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks) have been an excellent one-two punch so far, and helped Chaminade get out to an 8 point lead at one point.
The Silverswords are also currently out-rebounding the Spartans 11-7. I have a feeling the Tom Izzo isn’t happy in the Michigan State huddle right now.
