Tonight’s critical meeting between the Louisville Cardinals and Georgetown Hoyas has produced some — well, let’s call it great defense. Georgetown leads only 22-18 at halftime, and yes that was a regulation, 20-minute first half.
Louisville Vs. Georgetown Score: Sluggish Start In Big East Showdown
Both teams are shootiing right around 30 percent, with Georgetown’s Jason Clark and Louisville’s Kyle Kuric among the players who’ve shot 0-for-several. Lot of rebounding work out there, for those interesting in grabbing boards. The Hoyas hold a slight edge on the glass, led by Clark’s six.
Georgetown’s Chris Wright and Louisville’s Preston Knowles lead all scorers with eight points each. A combined 18 turnovers have helped to make this one of the ugliest games of the season.
Just so we’re clear, the lowest amount of points Louisville has managed so far this year was 46 in a loss to Drexel. And Georgetown put up only 55 when they lost to Notre Dame.
