Hamilton County prosecutors are reviewing Saturday’s brawl between Xavier and Cincinnati for possible criminal charges, The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

“My office will review the matter to determine whether any criminal charges are appropriate,” Prosecutor Joe Deters noted in a Monday press release. “We will have no further comment until a decision is reached.”

Four players on each team have been suspended for a total of 30 games for their actions during the melee. The largest suspensions went to Cincinnati’s Yancy Gates, Cheikh Mbodj and Octavius Ellis, who will all miss six games.

Gates landed the biggest blow of the brawl, a right cross to the face of Xavier center Kenny Frease that sent Frease to the ground. Mbodj then appeared to stomp on Frease’s head.
