NCAA Bracket Predictions 2011: Picking Every Game Of March Madness’ East Region

Here are SB Nation’s Chris Dobbertean’s NCAA Tournament 2011 bracket predictions for the East Region. Print out your own 2011 March Madness bracket here to fill in your selections:

East Region

First Four
UT San Antonio over Alabama State, meaning the SWAC can’t grab a second straight win in Dayton.
Clemson over UAB, as the Tigers have a bit more of a reason for being here.

Second Round
No. 1 Ohio State over No. 16 UT San Antonio, as a 16 won’t grab a first-ever win here in this one.
No. 8 George Mason over No. 9 Villanova, as the Patriots put the slumping Wildcats out of their misery.
No. 12 Clemson over No. 5 West Virginia, since the Tigers will be coming off a Tuesday win and the Mountaineers will have been sitting for a week.
No. 4 Kentucky over No. 13 Princeton, the Wildcats will have too much talent for the plucky Tigers.
No. 6 Xavier over No. 11 Marquette, Tu Holloway may lead the Musketeers to a win by himself.
No. 3 Syracuse over No. 14 Indiana State, unless Larry Bird has some eligibility left that no one knows about.
No. 7 Washington over No. 10 Georgia, Isaiah Thomas and the Huskies should make the Bulldogs’ surprise trip a short one.
No. 2 North Carolina over No. 15 Long Island, though the Blackbirds may give the Tar Heels fits with their tempo.

Third Round
No. 1 Ohio State over No. 8 George Mason, which means there will be no repeat of 2006 for the Patriots.
No. 4 Kentucky over No. 12 Clemson, as the Tigers won’t have enough firepower to cope with the Wildcats.
No. 3 Syracuse over No. 6 Xavier, though the Musketeers’ guards will give the Orange fits.
No. 2 North Carolina over No. 7 Washington, even though Harrison Barnes may need to score 50 for the Tar Heels to advance.

Regional Semifinals
No. 1 Ohio State over No. 4 Kentucky, as the Buckeyes mix of veterans and youngsters will be too much for the younger Wildcats.
No. 3 Syracuse over No. 2 North Carolina, thanks to the New York City-area crowd boosting the Orange.

Regional Final
No. 1 Ohio State over No. 3 Syracuse, as the Buckeyes have been a bit more consistent than Syracuse this season.
