Gary Clark, Jeff Teague Players Accused Of Involvement In Wake Forest Basketball Sexual Assault Scandal
The victim filed a complaint with the Miami Police Department in May of 2009, after which Clark released a statement claiming that the act the two engaged in was consensual. According to a report released by the Miami Police Department, the victim met Teague in a hotel lobby on March 21. Eventually, Clark joined their conversation. At one point, Teague asked the victim if she wanted to go up to his room with him and Clark, and she agreed. The report says that, after getting into the room, Clark and the victim went into the bathroom while Teague stayed outside. It was at that point that the alleged assault occured.
In June 2009, procecutor Laura Adams declined to file criminal charges due to a lack of physical evidence, a lack of witnesses, and Clark’s denial of the allegations. The University is said to be looking into the matter further.
