The San Diego St. Aztecs kept the momentum going on Tuesday night as they visited their Mountain West Conference rivals the Wyoming Cowboys in Laramie. The No. 13-ranked team in the nation picked up a comfortable 10-point win and remained perfect in conference play. The Aztecs now hold an overall record of 18-2 following the 52-42 win and are now 4-0 in the MWC.
No. 13 San Diego State Vs. Wyoming: Aztecs Remain Perfect In MWC With 52-42 Win
The No. 13-ranked San Diego State kept their momentum rolling on Tuesday night. They defeated the hometown Wyoming Cowboys to remain undefeated in Mountain West Conference play.


The Aztecs headed into halftime with perhaps not quite as comfortable a lead as they hoped. After the first half, they were on top by a score of 25-22. They held the Cowboys at bay for the duration of the second half en route to the victory.
Guards Chase Tapley and Jamaal Franklin led the San Diego State scorers with 12 points each. Franklin recorded a double-double by also snagging 11 rebounds. James Rahon added another nine points to the winning effort.
Wyoming's leading scorer was forward Leonard Washington, who had 12 points and also picked up eight boards.With the loss, Wyoming falls to 2-2 in the MWC, with an overall record of 16-4.
San Diego State will play their next game on Saturday, January 28 as they visit the Colorado St. Rams. Wyoming will head to Idaho on Saturday to take on the Boise St. Broncos.
