The No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats headed to Athens on Tuesday night to take on SEC rivals the Georgia Bulldogs. The last time that the Wildcats came to Georgia, they were handed an upset loss, but that 2011 Bulldogs team was very different from the one that Kentucky faced on Tuesday. The Wildcats kept rolling with a 57-44 win and improved to a perfect 6-0 in the SEC. Their overall record now stands at 20-1.

The key to the game for Kentucky was a big first half. They headed into halftime with a comfortable 38-26 lead, which was more than enough to keep the Bulldogs at bay. They only outscored Georgia 19-18 in the second half, but still picked up a 13-point win. With the loss, Georgia falls to 1-5 in the SEC and now hold an overall record of 10-10.

Darius Miller, a Kentucky guard, led all scorers with 19 points. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist managed a double-double for himself with 14 points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Georgia's top scorer was guard Dustin Ware, who recorded 12 points. The Bulldogs shot just 34.5 percent from the floor.

Kentucky will play their next game on Saturday, January 28 as they travel to face the LSU Tigers. Georgia's next game will be on Wednesday, February 1, when they visit the Auburn Tigers.
