No. 8 Duke vs. Maryland: Terrapins Fall To Blue Devils, 74-61, On Gary Williams Court

The Maryland Terrapins debuted Gary William Court on Wednesday, but the Duke Blue Devils picked up the win that night.

The Maryland Terrapins honored former coach Gary Williams on Wednesday night by naming the court at the Comcast Center after him, but the basketball team was unable to christen the court with a victory over the No. 8 Duke Blue Devils. Maryland fell in the game, 74-61.

Terrell Stoglin led the Terrapins with 16 points, but only Pe'Shon Howard joined him in double digits with 10 points. Ashton Pankey put up eight points and pulled down eight boards. The team struggled from the free throw line by making just 11 of 21 attempts.

Mason Plumlee put up a double-double of 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Blue Devils, giving him seven double-doubles this season. Austin Rivers chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Ryan Kelly added 14 points from off the bench.

The Blue Devils are back on the winning track following last weekend's loss to Florida State. Duke hosts the St. John's Red Storm on Saturday.
