The West Coast Conference’s two heavyweights will face off in the WCC Tournament final on Monday night when Saint Mary’s meets Gonzaga at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

Each team was the recipient of a double bye as a result of its work in the regular season, and each team got a win in semifinal action on Saturday to get to the final, but the Bulldogs had the more impressive win. They roared out to an early lead in the first half and never relinquished it against BYU in a 77-58 romp, and Kevin Pangos had 30 points in the victory.
Saint Mary's had to do some work to overcome the San Francisco Dons in their semifinal, but came back from a halftime deficit to secure a five-point win.
The Gaels and Bulldogs played twice in the regular season, and each team got a win on its home floor. Saint Mary’s thumped Gonzaga 83-62 on January 12, while the Zags returned the favor in Spokane with a 73-59 victory on February 9.
