California Vs. Stanford Final Score: Golden Bears Keep NCAA Tournament Hopes Alive, 77-71

The 2012 Pac-12 Tournament may feature just a couple of teams that ultimately make the 2012 NCAA Tournament field, but second-seeded California rallied in the second half for a 77-71 win over Stanford that keeps the Golden Bears in the running for the Pac-12’s automatic NCAA Tournament berth.

Jorge Gutierrez had 22 points, seven assists, and six rebounds for Cal, which put up 54 points in the second half and erased a seven-point halftime deficit. All five Cal starters scored in double figures, made at least three shots, and grabbed at least five rebounds.

Stanford’s loss came despite Andrew Zimmermann’s 22 points and seven rebounds, and ends the Cardinal’s chances of making the 2012 NCAA Tournament.
