Mike Leach Receives Endorsement From Donald Trump For Miami Head Coach Job

Mike Leach is just riding his bike around Key West if you need him, University of Miami. He’s already said what a great job he’d do at the University. Don’t believe him though: believe college football expert Donald Trump, who sent this note written on the Miami Herald’s sports page to UM president Donna Shalala lobbying for Leach.

In case you can’t read sideways on newsprint, it reads:

Donna-- You made a big mistake when you did not take my advice and hire Mike Leach of Texas Tech--Look what’s happened to them since he left they [COME ON TRUMP DON’T WRITE IN SMALL LETTERS OVER A PIC OF A GUY’S HEAD] Hire Coach Leach and you will be number one.--Donald. --And you can get him for the right price. Best wishes--Donald

Donald Trump always writes his correspondence on relevant pieces of newspapers and magazines, which is why no one listens to him about anything because it is very, very hard to read. Donald Trump is also a horrible advocate as a friend, because he actively encourages people to pay less for your services while you’re trying to make your paper.

In review from Mike Leach’s perspective: thank you, crazy man, for scrawling a contemptuous note to the person who’s got the job I want in the palm of her hand, and also thanks for encouraging her to lowball me to an extreme degree. The former Texas Tech coach looks forward to your traditional present of an envelope full of burnt hair and carpet staples, and will return to wandering around the Keys on my Pee-Wee Herman bicycle.*

*Just a hunch, but Leach would go around on a bike that looked exactly like this.
