Miami Vs. Pitt: That Settled Down In A Hurry

The 'Canes mauled TIno Sunseri in the backfield on the Panthers' first play from scrimmage following Miami's touchdown, which really set the tone for the rest of the first quarter. Pitt went three-and-out, and on the ensuing possession Jacory Harris was intercepted on an endzone bomb. This was followed, naturally, by three more insignificant plays and a punt from the Panthers.

Miami's mistakes weren't really mattering, until they came to one that Pitt didn't need to capitalize on to hurt them: Travis Benjamin ran a punt back for a touchdown that was called back for TWO blocks in the back. For the moment, these two squads seem to have settled into an ineptitude rut. At the end of the first quarter, Miami leads 7-0.
