Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl Game 2011: Time, Location, History And More

To help prime you for the home stretch of bowl games, we've compiled this handy list of fun factoids concerning the 2011 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.

Proper name: The Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, formerly known as the Emerald Bowl.

Setting: AT&T Park In San Francisco, home of the San Francisco Giants.

Traditional conference pairing: Pac-10 versus WAC

2010 matchup: The Boston College Eagles (7-5) and the Nevada Wolfpac (12-1)

Announcers: Mark Jones, Bob Davie, Rod Gilmore and Quint Kessenich will team up to call the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. Yes, all the big names are in Glendale preparing for the BCS National Championship Game.

Weather: Sunday is a perfect football day in San Francisco. Highs will be in the mid 50s, lows in the low 40s and the skies ill be mostly sunny. Great day to head out to the ballpark for some baseball football.

Neatest fact: Kraft Foods is using the bowl as a platform for its fight hunger campaign, looking to get publicity out of hosting a bowl game. As the last bowl before the big one, the BCS National Championship, maybe it will work .. or something.

Closest finish: Three games have been decided by a touchdown, the latest of which came in 2008 when the California Golden Bears beat the Miami Hurricanes, 24-17.

Most lopsided finish: Utah had the biggest drubbing in the history of the bowl game, easily dropping Georgia Tech, 38-10.

Tidbits of interest: This will be the third time BC has appeared in this bowl. The Eagles are 1-1 in two previous appearances, including a loss to USC in the last time the bowl was played, in 2009. Nevada has never appeared in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. Notable MVPs: Jahvid Best, Eric Weddle and Lorenzo Booker.
