Oklahoma State Vs. Texas Score Update: Oklahoma State Still Leads During Wild Third Quarter

It wasn’t just a tighter-than-expected first half; we actually appear to have a game in Austin. Or maybe not.

Oklahoma State kicked off the second half with a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. (Pardon the pun.) Texas responded with its own 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown -- on the next play -- getting back to an 11-point deficit.

The Longhorns’ next drive wasn’t that much longer; Malcolm Brown ran 24 yards for a touchdown on the second play of the drive to cut the deficit to four. Then it was Oklahoma State’s turn to get back on the board, driving 64 yards to set up the 22-yard field goal and extend the lead to 31-24.

But then, Texas went three-and-out. Oklahoma State followed that up with a possession that ended on a 74-yard touchdown run by Jeremy Smith, and it’s now 38-24. Which is by no means over -- especially considering that there are almost 20 minutes left and the way the second half has gone so far.
