At the moment, the Bruins are still somehow only a game out of first place in the Pac-12 South despite having a losing overall record. Based on earlier comments by Guerrero, a division title sounds like goal No. 1 for Neuheisel. Not that anybody foresees it happening, but it’s still possible. I guess.

UCLA Vs. Arizona Final Score: Streaker, Brawl Highlight 48-12 Wildcats Win
The highlight of Thursday night’s matchup had nothing to do with the play of either team. And while the highlight did take place on the field, it wasn’t a tremendous feat of athleticism or skill. It was a streaker, dressed as a referee, that ignited a brawl between the UCLA Bruins and Arizona Wildcats. You read that right.
The Wildcats left little doubt in this one, racing out to a 42-7 halftime lead over the Bruins. Rick Neuheisel’s squad looked undisciplined, sloppy and lost throughout the first half, and the Wildcats took advantage. And it only seemed fitting that the half ended with a common man dressed as a referee blowing a play dead, then somehow igniting a brawl.

He was described by the booth as both a “knucklehead” and as someone who dressed up as a Pac-12 referee, but we repeat ourselves. The participant whistled a play dead, then disrobed while still gaining more yardage than UCLA’s entire offense.

Kish has coached UA’s linebackers the last eight seasons, spending the last two as the school’s co-defensive coordinator. The Wildcats dismissed Stoops following the team’s fifth straight loss, a skid that is largely due to a defense that ranks last in the Pac-12 in run defense, total defense and scoring defense. The Wildcats rank 11th in the Pac-12 in pass defense.
UCLA was off last week and will be looking to improve to 3-1 in the Pac-12 this season. The Bruins are balanced offensively, averaging 198 passing yard and 195 rushing yards per game. The ground game is powered by Johna Franklin (509 yards) and Derric Coleman (330 yards), with Coleman accounting for six of the team’s 13 rushing touchdowns.
