UCLA Vs. Arizona Final Score: Streaker, Brawl Highlight 48-12 Wildcats Win

The highlight of Thursday night’s matchup had nothing to do with the play of either team. And while the highlight did take place on the field, it wasn’t a tremendous feat of athleticism or skill. It was a streaker, dressed as a referee, that ignited a brawl between the UCLA Bruins and Arizona Wildcats. You read that right.

The Wildcats left little doubt in this one, racing out to a 42-7 halftime lead over the Bruins. Rick Neuheisel’s squad looked undisciplined, sloppy and lost throughout the first half, and the Wildcats took advantage. And it only seemed fitting that the half ended with a common man dressed as a referee blowing a play dead, then somehow igniting a brawl.

Nick Foles threw for 291 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in the win, picking apart the UCLA secondary in the first half. All three of Foles’ touchdown passes went to Juron Criner, who played like a man among boys on Thursday night. Taimi Tutogi scored two touchdowns on the ground and Ka’Deem Carey scored another.

Kevin Prince passed for 286 yards and a touchdown while also leading the way for the Bruins on the ground with 13 carries for 14 yards. Yes, UCLA rushed for 38 yards on 25 carries as a team. The pistol was jammed and UCLA fell to Arizona, 48-12.

The win was Arizona’s first over an FBS school in 355 days, which also means something, I guess! And the last FBS team Arizona beat before Thursday’s win? Well that would be UCLA, of course!
