Remember all the talk about all those undefeated teams and how there would be chaos when they made it through the season undefeated? It seems to happen every year. Six or seven weeks in, we think we know everything, yet in a moment it all goes down the drain. Saturday was one of those moments.
The chaos came late, with one big upset happening in an evening game and the other taking place after a lightning delay, pushing the conclusion deep into the night. Wisconsin was the first to drop, and did so in dramatic fashion as Michigan State converted a tip-drill Hail Mary for the win. Just a few hours later, it was No. 3 Oklahoma’s turn, with Texas Tech hanging on for dear life in a three-point win. Just as we all predicted.

Getty ImagesIt’s another big day of college football on Saturday, with plenty of matchups that hold rankings and standings implications. And while there are plenty of intriguing games, none may be better than the Saturday night matchup between No. 6 Wisconsin and No. 16 Michigan.
On Saturday night, Michigan State welcomes Wisconsin to East Lansing for a matchup that could be a Big Ten championship preview. The 6-0 Badgers travel to Spartan Stadium relatively untested, with the 5-1 Spartans chomping at the bit.

“I deeply regret momentarily losing my composure late in the third quarter of last Saturday’s game against Michigan,” Gholston said in a statement published on the school’s official website. “Although provoked, my response was inappropriate. Coach (Mark) Dantonio regularly reminds us that actions have consequences, and I will be better prepared to handle these circumstances in the future. I look forward to my reinstatement.”
A starter in all six games for the Spartans, Gholston has 20 tackles the season, including seven tackles for a loss and 1.5 quarterback sacks.
