Tennessee Burns QB Justin Worley’s Redshirt In Week 8 Vs. Alabama

The Tennessee Volunteers have a dicey quarterback situation for the rest of the season, with starter Tyler Bray sidelined for a couple more weeks or so. After Matt Simms struggled against OHH JUST the LSU Tigers and Alabama Crimson Tide, the Vols sent true freshman Justin Worley onto the field for his first playing time of the year.

The ballyhooed youngster was set to redshirt for the year, but the Vols look to have welcomed a full quarterback quandary by giving the six-foot-four passer from South Carolina some playing time.

Just strange to do so more than halfway through the season. And with a couple minutes to go in a guaranteed loss. And with the starter scheduled to come back before the season ends. We’re not here to judge.

The Vols get the South Carolina Gamecocks next week, and you'd have to think Worley will suddenly make his first career start.
