Now five games removed from his last appearance, Tyler Bray may be finally close to playing again. The Tennessee quarterback will reportedly practice on Tuesday and could see action on Saturday.
Tyler Bray Injury Update: Tennessee QB Practicing, Questionable Vs. Vanderbilt
Bray has been out with a broken thumb since Oct. 8. Without Bray in the lineup, the Volunteers have gone 1-4 and have now started their SEC season 0-6.
In recent weeks, freshman Justin Worley has been given the starting nod. He was strong against Middle Tennessee, going 23 of 32 for 271 yards and a touchdown. Against SEC competition, though, he has looked much more like a freshman. In two games, he is 25 of 55 for 313 yards and three interceptions. In last week's 49-7 loss to Arkansas, senior Matt Simms saw his first action since Oct. 29. He went 3 of 5 for 30 yards.
