The Vanderbilt Commodores nearly forced overtime with the Arkansas Razorbacks, but a missed field goal let Arkansas off the ropes for the second straight week. The Hogs take a 31-28 win despite trailing 21-7 in the second quarter and taking their first lead in the fourth.
Arkansas Vs. Vanderbilt Final Score: Hogs Escape Again, 31-28
Vanderbilt started deep within their own territory with four minutes left, driving in range for a 27-yard attempt by Carey Spear. He missed to the right.
Tyler Wilson finished with 317 yards passing -- but Vandy outgained Arkansas by 74 yards anyway.
No matter the outcome, Vandy fans have to be proud of the way the Dores have played this season. A severe lack of quit in James Franklin's team. Likewise, Arkansas fans have to be a little bit sick of seeing their team need second half miracles to escape far lesst talented teams.
