USC Vs. Stanford Score: Cardinal Strike First In Overtime
It figures this game went to overtime. All night, Stanford and USC have battled back and forth, throwing punches and countering at The Coliseum. It’s been one of those kinds of games.
After Stanford punched it in from close-range with 38 seconds to go, USC drove to the end of field goal range. But Robert Woods took too long running across the field and trying to get out of bounds on a tunnel screen and USC never got a chance for the game-winning field goal in regulation. The clock struck zero as Woods went down, sending the game to overtime.

Georgia needed a lot to break its way to beat Florida 24-20 in the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party. But the Bulldogs took advantage of their opportunities, and Florida’s miscues gave them plenty.
Two fumbles? Yeah, Florida coughed them up, and Georgia turned them into two touchdowns. An offense that barely even attempted to run the ball and was triggered by a hobbled quarterback? Florida clung to it, and John Brantley got diminishing returns. And a defense that couldn’t stop Georgia’s running game when it needed a stop most? Yeah, that’s Florida’s, and it got run over for 185 rushing yards.

We knew the sledding would be tough as Penn State and Illinois played a fun game of football in frigid weather. So the 0-0 halftime score shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, especially considering both teams boast strong defenses and offenses that simply grind it out. But this is pretty bad.
Both teams are under 100 yards of total offense, combining for 176 yards in the half. And each team has two turnovers -- Penn State fumbled twice while Illinois fumbled once and threw an interception.
