Stanford Vs. USC Halftime Score: Cardinal Lead, But Just Barely

USC kicker Andre Heidari, suddenly healthy after suffering an ankle injury a few weeks back, kicked two field goals in the first half, but the Stanford Cardinal lead the Trojans at the half, 10-6. The USC defense has held up admirably, stiffening up after allowing a touchdown on Stanford’s first drive while only giving up a field goal over the course of the rest of the half.

Take root here for Stanford-USC score updates and here for college football stories from around the country.

Andrew Luck and the Cardinal offense looked unstoppable from the outset, driving 83 yards in 10 plays for the touchdown. Luck was perfect on the drive, and found Tyler Gaffney for 10 yards and the touchdown to cap the drive.

That was the only touchdown of the half as Stanford and USC combined for three field goals -- two by USC, one by Stanford -- in the half.

USC is hanging around, but doing so without a ground game -- the Trojans have just four yards rushing in the half. Outside of the Cardinal’s first drive, it’s been a defensive battle at the Coliseum, with both teams playing stout.
