Michigan State Vs. Iowa Score: Spartans Strike fast, Up 14-0 Early In The First Quarter

The Iowa Hawkeyes have been dominant at home this season, going 6-0 at Kinnick Stadium. Michigan State is threatening to end the Hawkeyes' perfect home streak, however, taking a 14-0 lead with over eight minutes left in the first quarter.

The Spartans held the Hawkeyes after the game's opening kickoff, forcing an incomplete pass to Marvin McNutt on 3rd-and-7 from the Iowa 38-yard line. A bad punt put the Spartans on their own 36, leading to a methodical drive by MSU highlighted by the run game. Edwin Baker and Le'Veon Bell combined for 36 yards rushing on the drive, which was finally capped by an 8-yard touchdown pass from Kirk Cousins to B.J. Cunningham.

A James Vandenberg interception set up the Spartans' second touchdown, putting Cousins on Iowa's 19-yard line. On 3rd and 8 he found Edwin Baker out of the backfield to give Michigan State a commanding early lead.
