Fozzy Whittaker Injury: Texas Back’s Leg ‘Buckles,’ Possible Knee Problem

Texas has been running over its opponents of late, and running back "Fozzy" Foswhitt Whittaker has been an integral part of that surge. Unfortunately for the Longhorns, Whittaker has sustained a leg injury early in Texas' Week 11 game against Missouri this Saturday.

The severity of the injury is unclear, but multiple sources on Twitter indicate that it was Whittaker’s right knee that was hurt. CBS Sports’ Tom Fornelli notes that Whittaker is being examined on the sidelines.

Whittaker had four carries for 15 yards against Missouri before going down. The senior had 151 yards over the last two weeks in Texas’ blowout wins over Kansas and Texas Tech, and had compiled a career-high 371 yards in the 2011 season.
