After a frustrating first half against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, the LSU Tigers came back with a scoring touch in the second half. They scored 28 points over the final two quarters to win, 42-9.
LSU Vs. Western Kentucky Final Score: Tigers Dominate 2nd Half For 42-9 Victory
The Hilltoppers held the Tigers to just seven points in the first quarter and kept the game tied at seven until late in the second quarter. Kenny Hilliard scored a one-yard touchdown at that point and then found the end zone for the next touchdown, a one-yard run in the third quarter. Alfred Blue gained 50 yards on his two rushes for touchdowns. Jarrett Lee, previously the starter while Jordan Jefferson was suspended, came in for garbage time and threw a five-yard touchdown pass to Kadron Boone. Jefferson had a 59-yard touchdown strike to Rueben Randle in the first quarter.
The Hilltoppers scored points on a Keshawn Simpson two-yard run and a safety-sack of Jefferson in the third quarter.
The 10-0 LSU Tigers visit Ole Miss next Saturday before the regular season finale against the Arkansas Razorbacks on Nov. 25.
