Alabama Vs. Mississippi State Final Score: Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy Lead Tide To 24-7 Victory

The Alabama Crimson Tide didn't let last week's loss to the LSU Tigers spoil this week's contest against the Mississippi St. Bulldogs, pulling off a 24-7 victory. However, it was another low-scoring contest for most of the game, as the Tide went up against a team that has allowed just under 19 points per game this season.

The Tide had just a 7-0 lead at halftime lead. Eddie Lacy rushed into the end zone for a two-yard score in the second quarter. However, Alabama did start to pull away in the second half, building the lead to 17-0 early in the fourth quarter. Trent Richardson pounded the ball relentlessly, picking up 127 yards on 32 carries. He scored the second Alabama touchdown of the game.

Tyler Russell did give a brief bit of hope for a comeback in the fourth quarter when he found Chris Smith for a 12-yard touchdown reception shortly after Richardson's touchdown run. The Tide, however, secured the game with Eddie Lacy's second touchdown run of the game, a 32-yard run, with 1:18 left in the game.

The Bulldogs struggled offensively during the game, amassing just 131 total yards (119 passing, 12 rushing). The two teams combined to miss four field goals and to go 5-for-37 on third-down conversions
