No. 1 LSU vs. No. 3 Arkansas was the must-buy, but Pitt-WVU provided to be a superb door-buster. Houston and Northern Illinois proved to be solid values, while Nebraska beat down Iowa’s doors. The day’s complete schedule.
College Football Scores: LSU Cements Itself As Best Team In The Country
The rest of Friday’s college football scores here.
With the win, LSU knocked off the No. 3 ranked team in the country. LSU has run the gauntlet schedule wise and there isn’t a team left in the country who anyone can legitimately argue is more deserving of a shot in the national title game. On the season, LSU has knocked off No. 3 Oregon, No. 25 Mississippi State, No. 16 West Virginia, No. 17 Florida, No. 20 Auburn, No. 2 Alabama (on the road), and now No. 3 Arkansas. There isn’t another team in the country with as close as good a resume, and that resume will look even better if LSU can knock off No. 13 Georgia in the SEC Championship game on December 3rd.

The Black Friday college football schedule came to a close in the desert with a good old fashioned shootout between the Arizona State Sun Devils and California Golden Bears. In front of a lackluster crowd, Arizona State put up a fight, but was unable to slow down the Bears in the fourth quarter in a 48-37 loss.
The Sun Devils hung close throughout the game, taking a one-point lead into the half with a one-point lead following two Brock Osweiler touchdown passes in the final minute. A field goal out of the half gave the Sun Devils a four-point lead, but Cal battled right back. Three minutes later, C.J. Anderson found the end zone from three yards out, giving Cal a lead it wouldn’t relinquish.

Miami vs. Boston College Final Score: Harris Throws Four Picks, Canes Drop Finale
Miami did get one victory on the day. They announced that head coach Al Golden had signed a four-year contract extension, squashing speculation that he would be leaving for Penn State and ensuring some form of stability following an unstable season.
Harris’ four interceptions tied a career-worst. A rough way to end his college career. The Canes finish the season 6-6 while the Eagles end up 4-8.

UCLA is your Pac-12 South representative in the conference title game, having clinched its spot before playing its final game -- a rivalry matchup with USC on Saturday. The Bruins can thank Colorado for that after the Buffaloes won their first road game in 24 tries. In fact, no player on the Colorado roster had won a road game, until the Buffaloes ended Utah’s Pac-12 South hopes with a 17-14 win on Friday.
It was an odd game all-around for Utah, who seemed to have the inside track to the Pac-12 Championship Game, facing a struggling Colorado squad while UCLA had to face a red-hot USC team. But Utah struggled out of the gate, falling into a 10-0 hole at the half. In the third quarter, matters went from bad to worse as star running back John White IV had to be helped off the field with an ankle injury.

Throughout the fourth quarter, with the game well in hand, the CBS announcers continued to remind us about BCS style points. Just in case LSU loses in the SEC Championship Game, Miles wanted to make sure his team convincingly beat the No. 3 Razorbacks. So Miles kept pushing and Petrino keep getting madder, even gesturing to Miles from the sideline late in the fourth quarter.

Houston Vs. Tulsa Final Score: C-USA Championship Next For Cougars
With their 12th win of the season, Houston not only stay in the hunt for a BCS bowl bid, but clinch first place in the Conference USA West. They’ll likely play Southern Miss in the C-USA Title game, but Marshall could still sneak into the game if Southern Miss loses and they defeat ECU.
Tulsa came into this game 7-0 in the conference with a chance to play spoiler, and for a while it appeared like they just might do it. They led for a long period of time in the first half and went into halftime trailing by just three, as Houston led 13-10. The Cougars offense ran riot in the second half, however, while Tulsa turned the ball over three times.
