Tennessee Vs. Kentucky Final Score: How To Break A Streak With 16 Passing Yards

The perfect way to break a 26-game series winning streak by your biggest rival? Why, pass for 16 yards the entire game, of course.

That's how Kentucky finally took down the hated Volunteers in Lexington this afternoon, with the running game picking up 204 yards and the defense containing Tennessee quarterback Tyler Bray, essentially shutting down Tennessee's one-dimensional offense.

Adding insult to injury was the passing performance, which owes a lot to the fact that senior wide receiver Matt Roark played quarterback for the Wildcats. Roark did have 124 yards on 24 carries to lead the team. CoShik Williams tacked on 70 yards and Kentucky's only touchdown on 22 carries to help carry Kentucky to the win.

Bray was 15-of-37 for 214 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. As usual, the Vols’ running attack couldn’t get much going on the ground, getting just 76 yards on 23 carries. The loss means Tennessee will not go to a bowl game this year.
