Vanderbilt Vs. Wake Forest Halftime Score: Commodores On Way To Bowl Bid

Playing for bowl eligibility, the Vanderbilt Commodores have a halftime lead over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Vanderbilt took an early lead, with a pair of Ryan Fowler field goals in the first quarter, from 33 and 30 yards. Wake Forest, to their credit, didn't roll over, and they took the lead to start the second quarter. Tanner Price completed a ten yard touchdown pass to Terrence Davis, after being put in position by a 20 yarder to Chris Givens.

Vanerbilt took back over on the very next possession though, with a 14 play, 76 yard drive that ate just under six minutes off of the clock. Zac Stacy had runs of six, seven and 16 yards, while Jordan Rodgers added 23 yards on the ground, on top of that. They capped off that drive with a 1-yard rushing touchdown from Stacy, taking a 13-7 lead.

Wake Forest was forced to punt on the next drive, going three and out, and it didn't take Vanderbilt long to increase their lead. Jordan Rodgers hit Brandon Barden for a 73 yard touchdown on the first play of their drive, taking a 20-7 lead. Wake Forest would go on to punt again, and Vanderbilt took over. With time near expiring, they managed to make it to the Wake Forest 20 yard line, after a Jordan Matthews reception for 34 yards. After that, Stacy had a 20 yard rush and a touchdown, putting them up 27-7 at the end of the half.
